About-Brother-Joe

Brother Joe’s Outcry Youth and Street Ministry- Has very deep roots both “Brother Joe” and “Miss Lisa” worked on Sunday school Bus Routes from the time they were teenagers themselves.

Brother Joe started working on Detroit’s Cass Corridor “Bus Route #17 B” from the Rochester Hills Baptist Church, after he went to a Detroit Tigers baseball game on Friday July/17/1976 when Bill Eckert took 16 year old Danny Cowan and 15 year old Kyle “Joe” Hicks to see Mark “The Bird” Fidrych pitch against the Oakland A’s. Then Bill took Danny and Brother Joe to Detroit’s infamous crime district called the “Cass Corridor” which back then was filled with prostitution, drug addiction, alcoholism and violence. Both Bill Eckert and Kevin Gephardt were Brother Joe’s original mentor’s downtown plus the advice from thousands of Street People over the years!
